Context

LCD and OLED screens cause eye strain over extended periods of usage. They are not ideal for viewing in outdoor environments (in direct sunlight), and consume a lot of power. The goal is to create an eink device that is gentle on the eyes and mind.

Prototype 01

The device needs to support two applications:

• KOReader: an open source book reader with support for various platforms
• Neovim: a terminal based text editor

While color eink is not a requirement, cost of implementation should be explored.
